Meremba (formerly Laura & Susie) combine two sisters' (Laura & Susie Bishop) musical worlds: piano songwriting ranging from the epic to the light-hearted with hints of Joanna Newsom, Regina Spektor and Tori Amos; gentle folk melodies on guitar influenced by great storytellers Joni Mitchell, Kate Rusby and Kate Bush. Accordion, piano, violin and guitar create a backdrop for their beautiful vocal harmonies. Dan Witton is a bassist, tubist and vocalist. He has worked as a composer and sound designer, music technician, teacher, soloist in theatre, radio, film projects and with ensembles such as Bush Gothic, The Wikimen, Saray Illuminado, Brunswick Bluegrass Collective, Ennio Morricone Experience, Lucy Wise and more. Hear him playing bass in Lucy's band here.

Paddy Montgomery is a Melbourne based multi-instrumentalist specializing in a variety of genres. Proficient in regional Greek, Turkish and Balkan music, along with Bluegrass, Celtic and (some) Gypsy Jazz on a range of traditional stringed instruments. Listen to Paddy here.

Lucy Wise writes original folk songs about love, friendships, healing and relationships with our environment. She is loved for her stunning vocals, intricate instrumental playing and poetic lyricism, and has delighted audiences at festivals and country halls across Australia, NZ, the US and the UK. Accompanying herself with guitar, ukulele, and Appalachian dulcimer, Lucy creates a contemporary sound that draws from folk, pop, Old Time American and Celtic music. Watch her latest videos here.
