At this concert Lucy Wise launches the first single from her upcoming fourth album. The single, Broadbeans, is about Lucy’s recent move from Melbourne to Central Victoria. It describes searching for connection in a new place, missing friends and family in Melbourne, and shelling hundreds of broad beans. Although the song was written pre-pandemic, it highlights realities many people have faced during lockdown: isolation, working from home, and living with a harsh inner critic.

For this concert, Lucy will be performing with a trio lineup including Dan Witton on double bass and Paddy Montgomery on bouzouki and mandolin. Special guest artists will also be joining Lucy throughout the night and local singer-songwriter Holly McNamara will play a support set.
